Exiles Inc. is an angel-funded start-up building passionate communities for fans who live away from their team’s home city – e.g. Yankees fans in San Francisco.

We started the company because, as transplanted east-coasters, we missed the feeling of everyone around us buzzing with the energy of our favorite teams. Our vision is to create a community platform that enables a team’s fans to connect with each other online and offline, nationally and locally through web, mobile, social and in-person events.

We have built 7 team communities with over 350,000 fans on Facebook, over 20,000 website members and over 530 local team chapters across the country. Check out the communities in action.

Our goal is to expand these communities to 100 teams across professional, college and international sports and reach the hundreds of million fans in Exile.

We are in the early stages of developing websites and mobile apps that match our vision of the community – a seamless experience between social, mobile, web and local offline events with a combination of user-generated and professional content to help fans feel like they’re back home or in the stands with their best friends.
